How people sign up for PerkHour texts
Effective 16 October 2026
This page is for mobile carriers and our text message provider. It shows every place where someone can agree to get text messages from PerkHour, and the messages we send. The forms below are examples. They do not work.
Program details
- Brand and program name: PerkHour.
- Customer messages: one-time verification codes, a ticket message after each claim, and perk alerts for people who opt in.
- Shop (merchant) messages: posting perks by text and account messages, for shop owners who opt in.
- Terms: SMS Terms, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1. Perk alerts (customers, optional)
When someone claims a perk on perkhour.com, the claim form shows this checkbox. It is unticked to start with and is not needed to claim. Only people who tick it get alerts: at most 1 a day and 3 a week, sent only between 10 am and 8 pm Monday to Saturday, and between noon and 8 pm on Sunday, Central Time. “[Zone]” is replaced with the name of the neighborhood the perk is in.
2. Verification codes and ticket texts (customers)
Every claim needs two texts: a one-time code to confirm the number, and one message with the ticket. Neither is marketing. The claim form explains both under the phone number field, and a required box (unticked to start with) confirms the person is 18 or older and agrees to the terms.
3. Shop owners: texting and posting perks by text
Shop owners sign up in the PerkHour merchant portal. To post perks by text, they verify their mobile number with a one-time code and tick this box. The box is unticked to start with. The portal sits behind a merchant login, so it is shown here as an example.
